I don't really use livejournal any more to post. Don't worry, the account isn't being deleted, I still look at my friends list every day, but I have moved on to a blogspot account (along with my Tumblr, which I update several times a day). You should go to it: http://charismaticmonkey.blogspot.com http://charisma13.tumblr.com :)

I haven't watched 7th Heaven in years.
This show is just too crazy now to even begin to figure out what's going on.
I also want to see Twilight again just to see Alice. Is that weird?
Back in Hilton Head like every year.

Today I had to go shopping for some things for work, one of them being lamp shades to go on some lamps for Match Games.
I went into Kirkland Home on a whim, even though I knew the chances of them being in there were slim I figured I was already in the area, might as well go. They are (like most places now) heavily decorated for Christmas. They were selling angel ornaments.
It was then that I realized this would be the first Christmas I would not get my angel ornament from Grannie. Michael would not get his bear one, my cousins would never get there's: a tradition started when my cousin Stephanie was born.
It's the first time I've cried for her in a while. Christmas is going to be hard, especially if it's here. Everything reminds me of her.

After deciding to watch the older Brotherhood 2.0 videos that hadn't seen when I first started watching the vlogbrothers, I found out that Hank and John's parents LIVE IN ASHEVILLE
!!!!!
In other news, I need a job that pays. I don't have any money. I'm going to try Borders tomorrow after work (I would go today, but seeing as it's Sunday that chances of a hiring manager being there today are slimmer than tomorrow).
Things excited for: Raisin in the Sun opening The election Meeting/Seeing John and Hank Green Twilight screening party of wonderment

"Greetings from Education,
As you may know, Dracula Student Matinees (aka Creature Features) are in full swing. As you may or may not know, we are currently accepting bets from any/all ATL staff on our students’ various “reactions” during these performances. Please note we require no actual monetary investment on your part (it’s free to play), but the winner will (probably?) receive a glorious prize.
Below you will find the categories and their descriptions, as well as important information that may inform your tally. You must bet in all categories by emailing Julie by Friday, October 3. The education staff will be keeping the official tallies which will be revealed along with the winner during the first week of November.
Crier This is a student who breaks into tears at any point during the show. Though they may leave their seat, a crier does not leave the theatre.
Runner This is a student who leaves or is carried out of the theatre at any point (excluding intermission) for reasons that include (but are not limited to):
* overwhelming fear * soiling themselves * shock/paralysis * regurgitation of breakfast
Row/Seat Jumper This is a student who feels compelled to leap over or across their own seat into the seat or lap of another audience member due to sheer terror induced by Bovino, Rand, Reyes, et al.
Holy Water/Blood Casualty This is a student who is the victim of fluid friendly fire during the show. Said student must either a) be seen wiping blood or holy water off of themselves, or b) notify an education department representative of such an occurrence. (Note: Mr. McNulty has been known to splash holy water with little regard for patrons’ wishes to remain dry. Bet accordingly.)
Overall This is not a student who arrives at the performance wearing denim overalls. Rather, in the unlikely event that no clear winner of the contest can be declared, an overall consideration will be made to determine the Victor (Jory?)."

This is for you Grannie! I hope all is well up there chillen with the big man upstairs. I think about you every day, I really wish you were here. You could have gone to see some shows with me, and I would have been so close that I could have hung out on weekends. I know that’s what you always wanted. I’m sorry that it never worked out.
Mom and I searched for the kind of tea with lemon for you last year while you were in the hospital. We could never find it. I still can’t find it, to this day. I think this is a good substitution.
(p.s. There is currently chess pie in my kitchen, although I know it’s nothing like that one bakery we used to get it from. It’s just the Kroger version)

How is it that I can move to Kentucky and still get the crazy effects of a hurricane? Seriously, my power was out for over 24 hours, trees are down left and right. The building next to the production shop's roof was town away and insullation was scattered everywhere.
It reminded me of Winter Park Village right after hurricane Charlie. At least this time I didn't work in a grocery store...and had already gone through one hurricane the week before with another one following close behind.
( Here's my hurricane Ike story in pictures! )
And that's all I got with my phone. I'll probably get more photos of the shop tomorrow while I'm at work. Dracula opens Saturday, and I am beyond excited for it. We were working on some notes in the theatre today and it just made me want to watch it even more. We also got to see our shop pet rats, who during the run of Dracula become actors. They always look like they hate the theatre and want to go back to the shop.
I'm currently looking for a job for the weekends because money is low, and I like being able to have money to eat and do fun things.

Today was coloring day at work. I was making a storybook for 43 Plays for 43 Presidents (the piece of paper in the front is the mock up of what it was essentially going to look like). It was a weird book, although I was super proud of my photoshopping skills. I’ve never been taught it, and was able to scan a picture where I had to piece together 4 sections of it, and make it a two page spread.
I also had to put those little pokey things on some fake boxwood for a topiary for Pride and Prejudice. Now my hand hurts from having to cut so much wire off of them.

I figured I would do a quick update on what's going on.
I'm on the last day of my first three day weekend since high school, and I have done nothing but get to know the area a bit more and watch Gilmore Girls.
I bought Nightmare Before Christmas DVD, and then ended up buying an awesome hoodie from the Disney store that was on sale.
The opening night for Glenngarry Glenn Ross was on Thursday. It was awesome. The show was good, the props looked amazing, and the after party with an open bar wasn't too shabby either. I said "hi" to the guy from lost...that was my only mingling with him that night.
The next day was spent in First Aid/CPR, so I got to see all the videos I had seen 2 months prior. At least I am now certified in CPR. We were let out early for the day, and later that night I headed to a bar literally less than a block from my apartment to hear some bands and hang out with my cousins.
I'm looking forward to Dracula.
